The San Juan County Fire Marshal's Office protects and serves all of San Juan County, except for the Town of Friday Harbor.  It is a cooperative effort of the County and the Fire Districts that serve Orcas, San Juan, Lopez and Shaw Islands.

Working with other state and local agencies and interest groups, the Fire Marshal's Office works under the authorities granted through the San Juan County Code and the Revised Code of Washington.  We work hard to find ways to meet the fire and life safety needs of the islands by applying the International Fire Code, and National Fire Protection Association standards in a way that matches the rural and self-reliant lifestyle that we all cherish.
