If you own a business, the Deputy Fire Marshal should be contacting you once a year to schedule a fire & life safety inspection.  The purpose of the inspection is to help you stay in business.  By pointing out potential fire and safety hazards, the hope is that an emergency will never happen, and you can concentrate on making your business a success.

For builders, inspections are required at various times throughout a construction project.  Emergency vehicle access, fire safety systems and fire resistant construction are among the things that the Fire Marshal's Office is watching for.
